Computational methods applied to earthen historical structures

Earthen structures have an important representation among the UNESCO World Heritage List sites as well built environment in general. Unfortunately, earthen heritage are also numerous within of Danger whereas other existing common extremely vulnerable to seismic and climate change events. Within field conservation, structural analysis contributes safety evaluation structure, diagnosis causes damage decay, validation interventions. Thus, need develop effective accurate computational methods suitable for study both monumental vernacular becomes evident. This paper compiles, summarizes, highlights latest developments implementations such structure typologies. The literature has been explored following PRISMA-S checklist methodology a narrative synthesis was used presentation results. Finally, future trends, opportunities, challenges discussed.
